GSP is excited to announce the newest addition to its Development Team, Braden Michel, who has joined the organization as Project Development Manager. In his role, Braden will play a key part in advancing investment, development, and long-term economic growth across the Greater Sandusky region.

As Project Development Manager, Braden will be responsible for attracting new businesses and investment, supporting major housing and development projects, and assisting with Port Authority financial programs. He will collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and key economic development organizations to ensure coordinated project support, while representing GSP at community and regional events to strengthen the organization’s presence.

Braden brings a strong background in banking, most recently serving as a Commercial Loan Quality Control Analyst. His experience reviewing complex information, assessing risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing detailed documentation makes him an excellent fit for evaluating project feasibility, structuring development financing, and guiding multi-partner initiatives at GSP.

“We are excited to welcome Braden to the GSP team,” said Matt Lasko, Chief Development Officer at GSP, “His passion for development and impacting the built environment was clearly evident during the recruitment process. His skillset will prove invaluable as we advance investment and job creation within the region.”

“I’m honored to join the GSP team and very excited to contribute to the impactful work being done to strengthen the region for which we all share a deep passion,” said Michel.

Braden fills the position following the departure of Nico Samaniego, who accepted a role with the Lorain County Chamber.
