Economic Development Week 2026: LEWCO & LogistiQ

In honor of International Economic Development Council’s Economic Development Week 2026 and its centennial anniversary, we are highlighting legacy companies who have decided the next century of success is right here.

Founded in 1917, LEWCO and LogistiQ have more than a century of experience in manufacturing industrial ovens and conveyor systems. LEWCO and LogistiQ each deliver advanced material handling solutions for industries ranging from e-commerce to aerospace and energy.

LEWCO and LogistiQ announced a $24 million expansion across Sandusky and Port Clinton, expected to create 208 new jobs and expand manufacturing and integration capacity in northern Ohio.

This project is supported through a combination of state tools, including programs through the Ohio Tax Credit Authority and JobsOhio, in coordination with Regional Growth Partnership, Team NEO, Ottawa County Improvement Corporation, and the Cities of Sandusky and Port Clinton. Greater Sandusky Partnership worked alongside local and regional partners to help navigate resources and support the project at the local level.

LEWCO and LogistiQ reflect how long-standing manufacturers continue to evolve to meet global demand while investing in the communities where they operate. This is economic development: bringing together partners across regions to support business growth, job creation, and long-term competitiveness.
