The Erie County Port Authority Board of Directors met Wednesday, April 21, and approved the use of a capital lease for three separate projects in Erie, Ottawa and Sandusky Counties.
The Erie County Port Authority is a public body administered by the Greater Sandusky Partnership on behalf of the Erie County Commissioners. The board of directors, appointed by the Erie County Commissioners, is comprised of five local community leaders.
On Wednesday, the board of directors agreed to allow Genoa Bank, an organization in Ottawa County, and Jonatta & Herner and KF Ventures to utilize the capital lease tool for new construction projects – pending any further approvals needed to accomplish those projects.
Genoa Bank is planning the construction of a new branch in Perkins Township at 3911 Milan Rd. Jonatta & Herner and KF Ventures will be constructing a second spec building at H.P. Young Industrial Parkway in Fremont, accompanying their first 100,000-square-foot facility which is nearing completion. The third project is set to be in Ottawa County with the expansion of an existing facility. The companies are responsible for securing any additional approvals or funding needed to complete the projects.
